Madrid raceweek nightlife guide 2026

A practical plan for the 11–13 September Spanish Grand Prix weekend: official track times, MADRING access, where to base yourself and how to move after dark.

Key Spanish Grand Prix times

  • Friday 11 September: Practice 1 at 11:30 and Practice 2 at 15:00.
  • Saturday 12 September: Qualifying at 14:00.
  • Sunday 13 September: Grand Prix at 13:00.

Getting between central Madrid and MADRING

Metro Line 8 stops at Feria de Madrid for direct access to IFEMA's South Gate. Cercanías C1 stops at Valdebebas and connects with Atocha, Recoletos, Nuevos Ministerios, Chamartín and airport Terminal 4. MADRING says there will be no general public parking, so use the access information sent with your ticket to choose the correct route.

Where to base a Madrid raceweek night

Malasaña and Chueca suit a dense, high-energy city-centre night. Huertas, Sol and Gran Vía keep the plan central and close to the Cibeles night-bus hub. Salamanca and Castellana offer a more polished pace, with Nuevos Ministerios providing useful circuit connections.

Five checks before going out

  1. Match your ticket entrance with Feria de Madrid or Valdebebas.
  2. Confirm each venue's address, opening time, entry policy and ticket source directly.
  3. Save the correct Cibeles night-bus route before Metro and rail close.
  4. Use designated circuit taxi ranks and licensed white Madrid taxis.
  5. Save the group's accommodation address before splitting up.
